I have a JL Sport S with an automatic transmission (about a month old from the factory). Last night the engine stalled almost immediately after I started up and put the gear in to the drive (D). When I restarted the engine the gear was stuck in P and wouldn’t go to D. I was able to shift the gear to D eventually after about 20 seconds or so and drive home. But all the while I was driving (about 15 miles) there was a warning light right above the fuel gage (the auto start/stop icon with an exclamation mark). I came home and turned off the engine. When I turned it on again within about a minute, the warning light disappeared. This was the first time it happened. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Hope this was one off event. Should I take it to a dealer for service?
