This is my first time driving my jeep up north anywhere where the temperature is below 65 degrees. But I am getting an intermittent overheating engine warning and the fan is blowing really loud.
Should I be worried? Is there something I need to check or is it just the engine getting used to these colder temperatures? I was thinking maybe I need to let the engine run for a bit when I first turn it on?

What engine do you have?
Have you checked your engine coolant level?
Since we know that you engine cooling fan is working, then you are either low on coolant and have a leak, or you have a defective thermostat. And yes, overheating is a serious concern!

I have a 2.0L engine. The coolant is just below the min level so I'll refill it and give that a try

Make sure that you use MOPAR OAT 50/50 mix antifreeze.

I ended up pulling into a dealership since it wouldn't cool down. They said the coolant hose had been knocked loose and just needed to be bolted back on. It's all good to go now. Thank you for the help though
