Hello
Just started DIY stuffs little by little and received OEM engine air filter today for 22 JLU 2.0T.
Wondering if these are minor enough that I don't have to worry about it at all lol
Thanks!

It wasn't wrapped in plastic cellophane inside your airbox, was it? Looks brand-new otherwise, unless that's the new one you just received.

Iirc, the owner's manual says to replace the engine air filter every 3 years for the 2.0T and 3.6L engines. If your old filter still looks like new, I'd change it out anyway (if due) and just keep the old one as a backup.

I assume the one in the pic is new? If so it's good to go. I always order 2 at a time so I have a new one ready to if needed. I order when I'm down to having 1 spare. I do the same with oil and cabin air filters.

About same for mine, plus after being in any dust trail. Cheap compared to gasoline.

Please explain what you mean by “these”. What is it you’re concerned about?
If you mean small anomalies or imperfections, it’s completely normal.

Bought it brand new and it came just like that via mail.
Glad it wasn't beaten up but wanted to make sure pressure marks are fine/normal.
Thanks all!

About 3 times a year, I pull the air filters, and smack 'em ,input side, down on a flat surface, pretty hard, about a dozen times or until stuff stops coming out of the filter. Then I use the air hose and blow from the output side to see if any dust comes out of the filter. I still change them out with new ones every 3 years.
