Either is a must-have. I keep a Dewalt 3/8 set that fits nicely under one seat & a mashup of assorted tools in a storage box from Harbor Freight under the other. Smaller sockets, a pair of pliers, an adjustable, panel removers, Allen & Torx bits, etc. @Roky has the right idea.
Love me some Harbor Freight!

I made the mistake of going there looking for flex tubing, heat shrink, etc. when I was getting help to install lights. Now I can't get outta the place, and it doesn't help that it's

A) less than 2 miles away from my home and,
B) about 400 yards from the dealer, on the same side of the street and,
C) there's a much bigger store not much further away

I would see their ads in the back pages of G&A but I'd dismiss them as cheap & chintzy... Kinda like Fingerhut some years back. Dated reference.

I find those basic tool kits to be a little lacking. Definitely go with at least a 3/8'' set. Also what is commonly missing are torx bits, something that I have realized the Jeep uses a lot of. A set of hex bits are super useful, if not necessary as well. There are also some bolt/nut sizes that aren't covered by those kits so if you want a complete setup you'll have to supplement it with some additional sockets, 18mm and 21mm come to mind off the bat from what I've done so far. And if you plan on servicing anything while in a bind on the side of the road, a breaker bar is a must.

I haven't seen this mentioned here yet but my grandfather once taught me that a knifeless man is a lifeless man; that has kinda stuck with me over the decades and has proven to be quite true.

How do you like the Nimravus? I've been thinking of grabbing a fixed blade.
I like the design and the feel... extremely sharp out of the box. I don't like that it scratches easily, but I can't be so meticulous with a knife. They're not meant to stay pretty for too long. I'm more of a Gerber guy, but the one I have is in the olive drab green & I wanted to mount one that blended in a bit.

For what it's worth, I carry this socket set with me on trips: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RCYX4WI and this set of crescents: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OXUPMGK . I also have a spud wrench (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JJ8RBVK) that acts as my adjustable and fits the occasional "I need something stabby" need.

I mention the socket set because it seems to be in the same price range the OP was looking at, and is all 3/8".
+1 on tekton for inexpensive quality tools.

Look at ESEE knives.
How could I have forgotten...? ESEE makes excellent fixed-blades... Very sturdy and hefty; but I don't think you'll get a spark with the powder-coated knives. A bit pricey, but worth it.
