After reading various other “Service Shifter” threads, I took a look at the wiring harness behind the glove box.
When I touched or jiggled the white harness on the right, I was able to replicate the issue. I had the Jeep running and when I pushed on this harness everything went haywire.
there is also a little white plug on the far right, which when I touched this the Jeep went above and beyond nuts and would not shut off. I jiggled it again and the alarms stopped and I was able to shut the Jeep off. Not sure of what consequence any of this is…
