Just curious how many folks turn ESC off when driving off road. Page 299 of my Owner's Manual states, "The “Full Off” mode is intended for off-highway or off-road use only and should not be used on any public roadways. In this mode, TCS and ESC features are turned off."

However, it seems people forget about this and just leave it on. Is this problematic when on the trail? Does "Partial Off" serve the same purpose? The manual doesn't address this very well, so just want to see what you all think.

Doesn't the TCS and ECS provide locking of the spinning wheel for us without a locking diff?

Bill, if you dig far enough into the owner's manual I think that you'll find a paragraph that states that the BLD is still active when TCS and ECS are turned off.

...while on hard-surfaced roads. Not sure why folks keep it on when driving off road, but I suspect it's because it isn't explained thoroughly in the manual (assuming people even read it).
