I have a 2022 392 XR, and have recently been experiencing drivetrain slippage under hard acceleration. I currently have 39,XXX miles on it, and when I hit 36K, I purchased a Mopar Max Care extended warranty (factory powertrain warranty also still in effect). The Jeep drives normally under all conditions except under hard acceleration. I am unable to tell if the slippage is coming from the clutch driven transfer case which I know to be problematic or the transmission. Under my 22K miles of ownership, she has been a highway princess only as my daily commuter. About 10,000 miles ago I installed 37x12.50x17 Yokohama MT (did not recalibrate speedo), other than that, the drivetrain and suspension are completely stock. With the 4.56 gearing, the Jeep had no issues with the bigger tires until this point. All this to ask, do I need to go back to the Factory 315/70R17 tires before trying to get the dealer to look into the drivetrain issue? I have been super happy with the dealer I use for warranty/maintenance thus far, and they sell wranglers off their lot with aftermarket suspensions and larger wheels/tires. Just curious if anyone has been denied warranty claims based solely on the fitment of larger tires? I do not have my old 315s or this would be a non-issue. Love the 37's and would hate to go back to the factory size, but if it is necessary to retain my powertrain warranty, that is what I'll do. I plan on keeping this for many years/miles to come. TIA!
