Looking at 3.5in lift kits and how a new front drive shaft is going to be required but not seeing a lot out there for drive shafts. Is it possible to just take the drive shaft to a shop and have it lengthened or are there other issues to consider. Thoughts and or links to DS are appreciated.

I used http://www.carolinadriveline.com/Jeep.aspx for a front driveshaft on my WK, they could make one for the JL too as they use the same components. They’ll ask you to take measurements, so you may need to lift first.

Lengthening an existing driveshaft isn’t feasible.

I’ve also used a driveshaft place local to me (Denver), the results from both shops were fine. So, there may be local options for you.

finally able to do some homework, looking like an extended DS starts at about $550 and goes up from there....... I need more pockets, the Just Empty Every Pocket motto isn't enough for this build.
