Well there you go, even more reason not to go there….it was an avenue I visited to correct a problem that was immediately squashed…… I hacked up a MC bracket, now all is well…..lol…

The mid arm 3.5" game changer with front driveshaft
Sorry, meant options. Rocksports?

Can’t run the outboards, and there is a different rear sway option. May be front sway issues too.

I for one really liked the handling of the flipped drag link on our 2019. Running 2" Bump stops front and rear on 3.5" of lift was just about perfect. With the rocksports we had on originally there was about 1.25" of left over uptravel in the shock up front at full bump. At that point the 38's were rubbing the fenders and the tie rod would just rub the frame if turned passenger at the same time. In my opinion it was about the perfect combination of parts to maximize my up and down travel, on road manners, and not get in to trimming fenders etc. Off the shelf parts in a budget friendly hodge podge. This thread and the fact that the 2022 already has a little play in the pitman arm tie rod end pushed me to pull the trigger on the steersmarts no drill flipped drag link and bracket. Being an XR it already has the long bump towers, we will see how much I need to add once it's installed. I'll definitely report back here once I have it dialed in. Flatter suspension links are ashtrays good wether it's control arms, track bars, or drag links. On this rig I'm going for flatter than factory XR components with the 3.5" lift springs. The front has control arm drop brackets already. Steering is next. Rear drop brackets will likely wait until winter. I like to get some time, road miles, and wheeling in with each mod so I can truly judge the difference each makes. As you can see, enough bump to keep 38s out of the fenders is enough bump to flip the drag link. Now if you're trimming fenders and trying to really maximize up travel it would get in the way. I liked the handling difference enough I might even consider notching the frame in order to ruin it in an lcog build.

No off roading yet, but lots of road miles. Installed the steersmarts drag link flip and track bar relocation bracket on Saturday and roadtripped the JLU 600 miles to Las Vegas yesterday. I will say that the no drill option from steersmarts makes installation a breeze compared to the synergy version we ran on the 2019. I didn't get a chance to fully flex it out, but with a tape measure it appears as though the drag link will rub the frame about mid way into the foam bump stops compression. Not bad considering they are just the standard XR bump stops. I'll be adding a 1" bump spacer to keep all the parts happy. On road the steering is tighter and more responsive than when the Jeep was stock and there absolutely no wiggle in the steering wheel when hitting bumps at any speed. This Jeep now drives, handles, and rides better than stock. With the flat control arms from the drop brackets and the flat steering from the drag link flip I'd be willing to bet the didn't geometry on 3.5" of lift is better than a stock Rubicon in every way. Caster is set at 6.5⁰ and this thing drives mint. With the added 1" bump stop she will be ready for 37-39's when it comes time for tires.

A drag link flip switches the knuckle end of the drag link to the top of the knuckle instead of the factory bottom mount. This can make the drag link more parallel to the force exerted when steering, which reduces steering effort. However, it requires the track bar to be relocated upwards about 3 inches on the axle side and also reduces the maximum uptravel because the drag link will hit the frame.
4.5” is the recommended minimum lift, but kits designed for it can do it at less (Maximus-3 works at 3.5” of lift with 3” of bumpstop).
May I ask you what brand of your bump?stop?

I don’t remember what brand came with the Maximus-3 lift for front bumpstops. I believe they were Teraflex. The rear were custom Maximus-3.
I traded in my JLUR for a JL Sport and have Metalcloak now, front and rear.
