At wich soot percentage does the 2.2 diesel do a regen of the DPF? I am currently at 92% soot mass (Jscan).

I was completely unaware that there was such a thing as a 2.2 diesel so my opinion may be way off. I would assume a regen would've been triggered before 92%; seems a bit high.

I have a 3.0 eco-diesel and it triggers at 80%, I think you should be similar. If you have the J scan app, you should be able to force a regen

My 3.0 would not regen at all, I had to use jscan to regen it. The level was 89% when I finally got it to regen after 10 tries with jscan. The stupid thing would error out every f-ing time.

I am on my second DPF as my previous DPF broke because it never did a regen. Since it set me back €3000 I monitor the soot level. At the dealership they told me it did not do a regen because the DPF was to full. I hope it will do a regen soon, otherwise it will throw a engine code and it will go into limp mode again.

Yes there is a 2.2 diesel Multijet engine (200hp/450nm) that was used between 2018 and 2020. It was only available in Europe and Australia. It was not only used in the Wrangler but also in some Alfa Romeo and Fiat models

What did it cause to not do a regen?

I did a drive today and it went up to 95%. After i checked the soot percentage after the drive it dropped to 20 %. So I think it triggers a regen at 95% what seems high

You may not have been driving long enough to get the system parameters set for a regen. I have found with the 3.0 that short drives fills the def up fast and won’t trigger a regen. It will also trigger a regen on very long trips even of the def level is well below the 80% mark, as low as 20%.

Strange, 60% of the distance I drive are on highways with speed limit of 75 mph. It is true that it fills up fast when you drive a lot in the city.

You might check out O’Rileys Autos on YouTube.
He’s somewhere in England but his videos really help you understand how these systems work and what can cause problems.

I always check the regeneration status using the Car Scanner app (this type of engine requires a lot of attention). When it reaches 100%, it starts regenerating. I've attached a screenshot of the app, which is also compatible with CarPlay.

Furthermore, if you see that it reaches 100% and activates mode 2 (i.e. active regeneration) do a few more kilometers (or miles in material) and you will see that it will return to 16%.

Mine also drops when at 95%, and goes down to around 16%. Looks like highway driving only slows the buildup. Never seen a decrease in soot percent while passive regen is active.

I paid the last weeks more attention on the behavior of the jeep when it does a regen. It sounds a lot more muffled. I also notice when I accelerate and it requires more boost from the turbo I hear a whisteling sound like a bird under the hood. And the transmission or engine gives a yank when the regen starts like it hesitates between 2 gears.
I also started using premium diesel (total excellium) instead of the cheapest diesel and there I noticed the soot percentage rises less fast and the engine runs more quiet.
