Doors without the bolts

Can you have the doors without the bolts? or at least to have pins instead of screwing the bolts again and again?

Yes, you can. I've never run the bolts since the first time the doors came off. I also have the kit you linked to. It's great for lining up holes when putting doors back on.

Don't see how that could cause rust. Think a lot of people run without bothering to put the bolts back, I left mine out all last winter. You could always leave them out when the weather is good and put them back before cool temps and road salt arrive.

I run with them out in the summer and I'll put them back here soon for our shit Midwest winter.

Don't know if its right or wrong, just what I'm doing.

My bolts haven't been in since I bought my Jeep. The previous owner took them out and I never put them back in.

I switch back and forth between my full and half doors a lot. Slapped these on both sets.

Is it easy to get them on with both pins same length? The kit above only does 1 pin per door and it's pretty simple getting the top one started and then lining up the bottom, shorter one.

Run with out in summer on in the winter. Before I put them on I put a little lithium grease on them and screw them back in place.

I have been running without bolts for 2.5 years. On my doors there is some minor rust developing on the “male” bolts with the counterparts not being in place.

coat with oil. Not an issue.

Yes, very easy. I bought two separate sets, so every bolt was covered and didn't risk dinging a hinge.

Ahh ok. My hinges are LineX'd so not a concern about that but seems like a good idea. I may grab another set off Amazon. Thanks.
