I'm assuming you're just trying the Tazer programming to see if it helps? Jscan is absolutely the way to go for any changes that it's capable of doing as they're locked in and not dependent on the Tazer module which could potentially have to be removed for service. Tire size, gear ratio, lighting, locks, etc... Use Jscan for all of these and leave the Tazer for it's fancier functions that don't affect basic usability of the Jeep when removed.

Just for kicks, what happens if you unlock the driver's door, get in the Jeep and reach over to unlock via the passenger door unlock button instead of the driver door?

I've tried both Dan. My sense tells me this is not a proximity system issue as turning proximity locks off in Jscan or JL Tazer settings, and unlocking the door with a press of the fob once, with the vehicle configured to only open the driver's side door (my preference), can manifest the same issue of the interior driver's side door unlock button locking the doors.

Again..maybe I'm describing a feature!

Let me go throw my doors on and see how mine acts... I've never even attempted what you're doing as I keep mine set to unlock all doors on the first press.

I put my driver's door and rear passenger door on, changed the lock setting to only driver's door on first press, and tried every combo I could think of locking, unlocking, child locks on/off, etc... Nothing unusual. The door unlocks, I open it and press the unlock button inside and the rear door unlocks.

Did you turn off all of the proximity settings with JScan and do the system resets to wipe all of that out before switching over to the Tazer to enable it?

I locked the Jeep and will let it sit for an hour or so and then try again to give everything a chance to completely shut down, but I'm pretty sure something isn't right with yours.

@AndySpill This is actually a very good idea worth trying. Disable all proximity Tazer settings. Unmarry the Tazer. Clear/reset everything mentioned above in JSCAN. Re-enable proximity setting using JSCAN only and see what happens.

Agreed. I’d try to confirm everything is operational before re-enabling the proximities. Just to be sure via isolating the potential cause. It could very well be a bent pin as Dan mentioned but I’m leaning more to programming like Andy.

The other day I wrote of this problem assigning it, possibly incorrectly, to aftermarket Proximity locks--so I'll try again.

I have my JL Sahara configured that one press of the door open on the fob only opens the driver's side door. I like it this way for security.

Once I open that unlocked driver's door, if I press the unlock button on the interior of the door (not the fob) all doors lock. If I press the fob button again it does work correctly to open all doors.

Sure--I could just press the unlock button on the fob twice to open all doors or reconfigure a single button press of the open door button on the fob to open all doors but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it.

TIA
Your door lock button is going bad. Replace it. Common issue

I just tried mine again after it sat for almost 90 minutes, no change.

If the programming changes don't help (which I don't expect they will) and the pins all look good on your connectors, then I'd say @alphawolff has the next best solution to try. He's quite likely right, as it seems he has a lot of experience on these and always provides great advice, but I still always like to try the free and relatively easy solutions before throwing any amount of money at a problem.

I've seen a good many of these fail where both buttons will just do the same function. For example both buttons will just lock the vehicle. Usually if one side fails the other side isn't far behind. Suggest replacing in repairs.

When OP said he hit unlock and it locked that's just a dead give away. They pop right out and only take a few seconds to swap.

I don't doubt you and I see a bunch of similar threads down below where people are having failed lock buttons. The only thing that I find unusual is how consistent and repeatable it seems to be for Andy and that the first press it locks everything, but the second press unlocks, yet if he starts the Jeep first then it will unlock just fine on the first press. He didn't indicate that it seems random or has gotten worse. I hope this proves to be an easy solution for him though and a quick swapout will indeed fix it!
