My driver door is ticking when I open and close it. I’ve had the dealer look at it 3 times. They first changed the door stop and it didn’t do anything. Now they said it’s normal because it’s the wire lume. I took it in again they made it worse but said it’s the door stop again do they ordered the part. All the bolts are tight. The passenger door makes the same sound not as bad. It’s coming from the lower inside of the door. I’ve tried greasing it but makes no difference. Doors have never been off.

anyone have this issue and had it fixed?

mine door was doing that. It's the plastic limiter on door pivot point I sprayed silicone spray on it at the pin area were attached to body, hasn't did it since .

can you guide me to where that is? The sound sounds like its coming from in the door.

For me, I popped the door off and greased the door hinges, Worked for quite some time, But its back now and i dont wanna do the work all over again. Next time i might just change the door hinge inserts to a delrin insert

Every JL door does this eventually. All 4 of mine and I've learned to ignore it. There's no impending doom imminent, just an annoying sound. Consider that this was the first time they made a Wrangler with doors that could stay open. They likely gave the job to an intern because the old-timers all thought it was heresey to do so. ?

Think i saw somewhere that the inner support that goes across the outer door skin comes unglued and that's what causes the noise.
