Hmmm...with all the horror stories about FCA not covering the repairs, I wonder how difficult it will be for you to get it approved a second time as they will essentially be covering the repair a non-factory finish.
Based on my experience it will be impossible. No dealership, including the one that sold me my 2020, will do the warranty repair work... I've spoken to 5, all of them have said this same thing.

No problem at all. Just stopped in there this morning and was assured it will be covered, and while I was there the body shop service manager noted a new one on the hood. That will be fixed as well.

While I was there he also detailed how the repairs are done. The paint from the offending area is sanded off along with the galvanic corrosion. Then they use an epoxy primer to cover the bare metal. Once it has cured ... not just dried, but cured ... they put the colour back on.
This shop and it's people are really good. As you can see my Jeep is Punk'n Metallic which is a very difficult colour to match and paint, and you can't tell where the repairs have been done.

I was waxing my jeep today and noticed the pain bubbling at the bottom of both passanger doors. I knew the hinges were a common problem but has anyone experienced bottom of the doors? I called the dealership and spoke to the body shop and they first thing they said was how does your hinges look.

I've now had the hood, the 4 doors and the windshield frame repainted due to rust. It's my 6th Jeep, and this is the first time I've ever had to deal with this issue, except for the hinges, of course. But my biggest issue is that they can't match the color properly. So now, my doors are a different shade of "bikini" than the rest of the truck.
The darker shade at the bottom of the doors isn't because of the lighting. It's actually darker. The dealership says they can't do better.

I am so disappointed.

Keeping my finger crossed for approval. I just bought this Jeep from a dealer 700 miles away from me a few weeks ago. I didn't actually see the vehicle in person until they met me at the airport, and it was covered with snow & ice. The next day when I got home and got it cleaned up I was very disappointed seeing the blisters in the paint. :(

Just blows my mind with a new vehicle. I have a 1986 Dodge pick up with less rust on it.

I'm worried about the paint matching with just repainting the doors.
You should be worried! I've had mine repainted 3 times now, and it's 50 shades of "Bikini" (teal). It's so frustrating! Now I'm working on having my entire truck repainted.

It’s been 18 weeks. Chysler, FCA or whatever the f$&& they call themselves now has approved the work. Now I’m getting dicked around by the dealership (downtown Chrysler) Toronto regarding hinges that are back ordered.
can’t wait to have all four door and the hood re painted so I can trade it and be done with it.

If you trading it in they don't care, take it in dirty. I got 38k for my base jlu. Luckily I purchased at start of covid for 29,500

Unless I am missing something, you're getting hinges repainted right? What does that have to do with hinges being back ordered?

The first body shop I went to included all new lower hinges in his quote.

I’ve had the same problem with my 2019 Wrangler Unlimited, also in the exact same spots. Not too sure how to fix this issue.
