Someone with some skills should make a molle solution to this. Doesn’t need to be a useable “net” but a place where you can mount different accessories like a zipper bag or a cup holder… I would do it but I don’t have said “skills.” My idea is free though!
A JL/JLU/Gladiator all-Molle panel like the drawing below would be very simple to do but I don't know how useful most of it would be because most Molle gear won't fit between the door and the seat.

If someone can point me to Molle gear that's thin enough to fit there and be useful, I'll consider sewing an all-Molle version for testing and if testing proves it out I can send the Molle version to Overland Outfitters for their consideration.

If they end up making these sellable, count me in!
Overland Outfitters tells me they expect to have preproduction samples based on the prototype pictured below ready for testing in a week or two.

Earlier than expected, some preproduction prototypes arrived yesterday. In this photo they're just out of the box and still wrinkled from shipping. I'll install them to check the fit and give the company any feedback I come up with so they can finalize them for production.

Are these the ones they'll be making for the group buy?
If so count me in on the group buy.

The company tells me nobody has contacted them to arrange a group buy, so maybe there won't be one.

But they did tell me they are thinking of doing a pre-order discount and they'll have a web page up for it soon. When/if they send me a link, I'll post it here.

I asked them about rear pockets and they said they haven't seen any demand for them on the JKU so they wouldn't be a priority for the JLU. If people want them for the rear doors, I suggest letting them know through the "contact us" link on their web site (https://www.overland-outfitters.com/contact.html#/). If they see enough interest in them then they may make them a higher priority.

I received another preproduction pair of JL/Gladiator door pockets today from Overland Outfitters. These are very near final and only need two minor tweaks before they're ready for production. These are the last samples I expect to get before production. OO hasn't given me a release date but it should be very soon.

Looking great, how do they attach to the door?
There's a back on them so the bottom of the door panel is loosened from the door a little (two factory screws and a couple of push clips) so the back can slip behind the door panel. Once in place the door panel is pushed back in place and then 3 screws are inserted in the grommets that can be seen in the one at the bottom of this photo.
