I am not talking about punishing the designers of the JL’s door net. We all know they have a special place in the underworld for it.

I am talking about a passenger that, unknown to me, put a spare can of soda in the passenger door net. And that beverage sat for DAYS until discovered by myself. Keep in mind this was a door net kept pristine for nearly 4 years.

Anyone else had their nets ruined this way or similarly? If so, what was or is the appropriate punishment?

I had a friend stuff a supplement mixer bottle in one of the nets, it was saggy and rather annoying. You can use a plastic tool and wedge the net until it’s tighter along the bottom seam (if that makes any sense.) I used a little epoxy as well. As for punishment! It actually irritated me for a while but being my close friend, I didn’t even mention it. Jeeps are about bringing the friends and family out for me. Stretched door nets and unreachable pocket change are a few signs your jeep is doing her job right!

EDIT: Used epoxy… not resin

Next time go without doors and neglect to mention that the passenger seat belt is broken?

That video was very well done, and the door pockets look nice enough that I'd consider having them. Thanks for the intel.

I did have to brief my wife once about the door nets in my Jeep being there just for looks, and not for any sort of practical storage purposes.

GREAT video! Hadn’t seen that one yet!😂

I may just have to go with a set of these. I wish it didn’t involve taking the interior panels off though… they’ll end up being another thing that rattles while wheeling.

The only real use I’ve found for the nets, and likely their intended purpose, is to hold the door plug harness when the doors are off.

I've found one use that doesn't stretch the nets... We put our America The Beautiful National Park Pass in it along with the last map from the park we visited. Anything more that that starts to stretch. I'd agree it's more for ascetics.

I second the DV8 MOLLE panel, very easy to install.

I really like my DV8 MOLLE panels. The plastic ones from UUO above area good, but require you to take the whole panel off. These slot right in, no fuss.

Thanks! I like the look and agree that not having to disassemble the panels is huge.
