Door lock issue

Recently the door lock button on my driver door stopped working. Not so much of an issue as I never really use it. Since then I've noticed that when I open the driver door my locks frequently cycle lock/unlock. I'm starting to think I have an issue with the handle and the proximity lock/unlock feature. I noticed that if I open the door and move the door back and forth the locks will keep cycling themselves. If I am gentle when opening the door and do not open it all the way I seems that I'm able to avoid the locks from cycling. I assume my issue is something related with the door. Just looking to tips on what to look for, what to test or try to replace instead of just going into this blind. Thanks!

My doors still unlock, it's just they freak out when the door is open. I don't know if there's an exposed wire and when the door is moved back and forth it makes the craziness happen. I've tried researching before posting this, but all the issues I have read are not the same.

My issue with this door lock is that after I open the driver's door care of proximity locks--which in fairness to full disclosure are proximity locks that I installed using techniques learned on this forum--not factory ones.....

...I find that pressing the driver's door unlock button closes a circuit (i.e. it "works"), but often for the first few tries pressing the unlock side of the button, the other vehicle door locks go into a locked state (already being locked).

After a couple of presses the other doors usually do unlock.

Button broken...? something electronic....?beats me.....
