LOL, yeah I wanted an IrocZ with louvers (my buddy had one), but it was out of my price range at the time. As you can tell I never fully moved on, so I made them for my Charger.

So to segue back to the topic of the thread. I got a little creative with some photo editing (I'm not the best with it, but I do okay).
I edited that grille onto my Jeep. But to give it more of a Jeep look I "painted" every other slot making it a more traditional 7 slot design. I still don't hate it. It still needs something, like maybe a steel bumper with a winch, but it's not bad.
Thoughts? Is it better this way, still an abomination, or somewhere in the middle?

That looks much better, all it needs now is this...

Kinda has a Wagoneer feel to it that way.

We're going to pretend that you didn't equate that Transformer grill designed by some millennial who has no taste or appreciation of Jeep history to one of the most classic looking Jeep bodies out there. :)

Ha ha. No just relating that it's got a lot more than 7 slots.
There's no touching the Wagoneer. A classic without compare.

Although if I"m being honest my favorite all time Jeep, also does not have a 7 slot grille:
Caught this in the wild last summer. I may have drooled on it a bit.

Love the Wagoneer and J Series pickup trucks. The only Jeep that does the 7 slots is the Wrangler and that is part of it's iconic look. Granted, it's predecessor, the Willys, had 13 slots but the 7 slots came about with the CJ and has been ever since.
I'm sure the Liberty, Patriot and whatever models do 7 slots here and there but I care about them so little I won't even google to see if they do... lol.

Yeah I doubt you're alone on that one. I don't think anyone really pays attention to the Liberty, Commander, etc.
The Wrangler, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee and Renegade seem to be the only ones people notice. Somehow even the Cherokee has fallen from the popularity it had in the 90's.

I was just pointing out that the price isn't ludicrous.
That's the best thing about this product. It's actually a somewhat reasonably priced mod. Unlike, say the $659 Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement Kit -- which has about $50 of steel and some powder coat.

It's actually aluminum, not steel :)

Ha ha. Yeah, they're not afraid to tack on some extra digits for that Mopar tag are they?
