Hello - I have been searching the forums and cannot find anything related to my issue.

2019 Jeep JL Unlimited Sahara 2.0L eTorque 57,265 Miles

Yesterday we were driving up to a trail still on paved roads, 85 degrees out, AC on. All of a sudden the Service Electronic Stability Control and Stop/Start Unavailable Service Stop/Start System warning lights came on with a check engine shortly thereafter. These lights have stayed on. I ran Coney Flats trail over the course of about 4 hours and drove all the way home, lights were still on. I let it sit for a few hours and they still came on. Tried to disconnect the battery and they were still on. Same thing today.

Since I have the eTorque I do not have the auxiliary battery to replace so that is out of the question. Any insight into this issue would be great and much appreciated.

Might wanna load test the main 12v battery, since that's what is powering the accessories during a Stop/Start event. The 48v battery just cranks over the engine.

Thanks. I will have to give this a shot when I get home this evening. I did end up replacing the battery about 3 years ago so maybe it is starting to fail.

This forum has everyone brainwashed about batteries. It’s not a battery problem, it’s a single failure in the ABS system. Pull codes.

I had a similar set of symptoms, minus the check engine light, that turned out to be a failed vacuum pump.

Not gonna lie, it's always the first thing I think of, that's why I posted it LOL. I did miss the fact that his CEL came on as well. Gotta know what that code is to help diagnose.

So I tried a load test on the battery and everything was within normal ranges. I took it to Oreily and had them do a test. Battery and alternator were fine. Starter was pulling to many amps and failed but it starts right up so go figure.

I tried to pull codes yesterday and only had an EGR monitor bank 1 result low.

Now don't be mad at me for this. I read in some thread about a guy putting a lift on his jeep and a year or so later it threw the warning light. My steering wheel was maybe 15 degrees off center and has been for 3 years. I adjusted the drag link and drove around for 10 minutes and both lights went out. So yay I guess? I feel like a real idiot.

The tool you used to pull codes didn’t work right. EGR monitor isn’t a fault code. What faults were in the ABS module?
