I had a similar CEL issue which appears to have been caused by a seized cam phaser and oil control solenoid. It looks like water contamination in the engine oil (route of water ingress unknown) caused the phaser to become seized, which in turn caused the multiple cylinder misfire code. Both parts were replaced, and 400 kilometers since with no issue yet (knock on wood).
