@Rharv
Definitely would mention it. It seems to fairly common issue (I had the creaking as well)

I had this exact same issue last year, only after it was warmed up. I ended up having my slave cylinder and clutch replaced. The noise came back a few months later
It may also have something to do with the current recall...
My setup was exactly the same. I found the fitment extremely tight as well, but managed to keep the solenoid centered. I did ignore the instructions a bit and installed the winch on the bumper before installing the bumper on the frame, however not sure how much of a difference it would make...
I've got a Rugged Ridge HD stubby with X-Striker on order - winch capable, accepts factory fogs, and with a little drilling you could likely mount any standard light. I believe there may be some quality issues with this bumper, but I can let you know once I get it if you like...
I do have a LSD, which explains why it's my rear only that's black (I should have clarified that). Thanks for letting me know, eases my mind quite a bit!
Sorry to bump an old thread, but any news from the dealer when you brought it in?
I've changed my oil twice total (currently at 18000 km) and each time it comes out dark grey/ black. I used royal purple last time, which went in a dark purple, may be a contributing factor this time around - not...
His forum is privately funded, and you get banned for mentioning a vendor that doesn't pay him advertising fees. Before he left JKForum he did the same there as well. He's been accused by many folks of bashing vendors that don't pay him, and praising only those who do. I understand he's got to...
Thanks Matt! I should have provided a fuller story. I previously changed out the rear diff and got this purplish-black oil out. I checked it again ~5000 km later and same sort of thing. I'm thinking it may have some water or other crud in it from a slight misadventure I had this fall. Although...
Hey all,
Long shot, but does anyone know the thread and length of replacement bolts for the M220 rear differential?
The [Banned Site] thread shows bolt torques, and indicates new fasteners must be used. I'm new to this, do you guys normally reuse the bolts or buy new when you drain and clean out...
For those waiting for the bumper, it looks like Rugged Ridge is targeting a late spring/ early summer release date. They won't comment on pricing, as they leave it up to the retailers to set price points.
Ah, I just re-read my post, apologies for any confusion there! I actually outlined two totally separate options, one in each paragraph, each option only uses 1 switch. So option 1 was to use either Aux 3 or Aux 4 as the activation. This is the option I sketched out. Basically AUX3-pressure...
Full disclosure - I haven't yet had a chance to buy and try this wiring idea, I'll throw my 2 cents in in case it's helpful.
My preferred option is to wire the power source directly to the battery. With the length of wire needed to run to under the seat, I'd prefer to run a thicker gauge wire...
Sorry I'm late to the party, but I found out after I called my dealer that there is some sort of change in the 2018's diff fluid recommendations from when the manual was printed. I have a 44 LSD rear, but Mopar did in fact still recommend 75W-140 in the rear for towing and off-road use (80W-90...
