Diesel flat tow base plate

I'm ordering a 2021 JLURD which will be flat towed behind a motorhome. Will base plates from Blue Ox, Rock Jock etc. designed for the JL steel bumper work for the Diesel? I know there have been other fitment issues with hitch receivers and other JLU components on the Diesel.

Don’t know if this helps but Check out the Maximus 3 flat tow plates. They require some minor cutting of the factory skid plate but in my opinion they are a really good option for flat towing without adding too much bulk to the front of the Jeep.

2021 JL diesel Sport. Mounted Rock Jock towbar plate today. Fits well and very solid feel to it. Link for instructions Attached. One man job. Took my time and a short break, 3.5 hours.

Blue OX bolts right up with the stock bumper. I installed it at the RV park in Idaho after purchasing the Rubi there. I had to slightly modify the Rugged Ridge bumper to clear.

Demco makes two “invisible” base plates. One for the stock bumper and one for the steel bumper. They look the same but have slightly different mounting instructions and hardware. I have the stock bumper on my 2021 JLURD and it is a much cleaner look than the Blue Ox base plate I had on my 2018 JLU. See picture. No big bar visible running across the front of the Jeep. Etrailer.com carries both. Just be sure to get the one for the steel bumper.
