Demco Air Force One. Uses the air brakes from the coach. Don’t have to install and remove each time. Just hook up the air line from the coach to the Jeep and you’re good to go. Electrical cable and breakaway cable too, like any other system.
I have the Mopar harness in my JLUR Diesel. It is not a diesel specific part number. My lights work fine but I am using a Demco Air Force One air brake system.
Demco makes two “invisible” base plates. One for the stock bumper and one for the steel bumper. They look the same but have slightly different mounting instructions and hardware. I have the stock bumper on my 2021 JLURD and it is a much cleaner look than the Blue Ox base plate I had on my 2018...
I have it installed on my JLUR diesel. We went down the passenger side. The plug on the outside is mounted on the passenger side. Plenty of harness to make the run. The whole setup is great. It doesn’t have a charge line. But, with LED lighting you can tow it all day and not run your battery...
The only “mess” is the removal of the interior trim panels IMHO. Once that is done, it is “Plug and Play”. I like the MoPar harness because there is no splicing and the ECM recognizes that it has been installed and works accordingly. You are right that we all do some splicing to do the...
Yeah, I use a Demco Air Force One brake controller. So it only uses the air from the air brakes on my motorhome. Only 12v requirement is for the wireless indicator relay to the indicator light on the dash of my RV. That uses hardly any power and only when braking.
I just traveled 2488 miles, Jacksonville, Florida to Los Angeles with the Mopar Flat Tow Harness installed. Under normal circumstances you will not need a charge line, especially if you have LED taillights/turn signals. That is the only power draw. However, from experience, you must be sure the...
I have the MoPar kit installed on my 2021 JLURD and it works like a champ when towing the Jeep. I like that it is plug and play with the existing Jeep wiring harness.
I have one question. Is it possible to install a battery charge line in the MoPar Tow Harness? My old and feeble mind thinks...
Anyone interested in a Magnaflow Street Series Dual Exit Axle-Back Exhaust system? MSRP is $595 at Quadratec, I will sell mine for $200. Took it off my Sahara when I purchased the EcoDiesel Rubicon. It will not fit on the EcoDiesel. Pick up in Jacksonville, Florida or you pay shipping.
So, I’m almost done (like that’s a thing with a Jeep), but haven’t posted anything yet. Here goes:
Fab Fours Light Rock Sliders
Thule Roof Cross Bars and Air Deflector
Stubby Antenna
Removed Wrangler Unlimited Decals
MoPar Flat Tow Wiring Harness: Plug and Play to make her towable behind my...
I just took delivery of my new 2021 JLURD yesterday, 12/17. Dealer was kind enough to deliver it to my house and pick up my trade. Thanks to this thread, I checked the fuses in my 2018 Sahara the day before delivery of the new Jeep and found 40 fuses not seated properly. I had been having...
Dealer delivered my new 2021 JLURD to my house yesterday, 12/17, ordered 10/23. So far, I love the diesel! Also, in reference to another thread, I checked all my fuses to be sure they were seated...42 of them were NOT seated properly. Each one of the 42 had an audible "click" when I pressed...
