  1. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Toyo AT3 35x11.50/17s on Icon Alloy Rebound wheels.
  2. Winch Mounting Plate for a Factory Plastic Bumper

OMG yes buy the most expensive gold plated bumper you can find because smooth gold provides better air flow than flat black. We all know that these JLs run hot and could burst into flames at any minute if we don’t maximize airflow. Money is no object. Buy the most expensive and complicated...
  3. Winch Mounting Plate for a Factory Plastic Bumper

Get it! Easy to attach. No real skills required and sturdy heavy duty piece of steel. American made.
  4. Winch Mounting Plate for a Factory Plastic Bumper

I had the Rock Hard 4x4 winch plate on my diesel wrangler for a couple of years and never had any cooling issue even while towing around 2400 lb trailer. And I drove around in the Montana Rocky Mountains etc. And by the way, it mounts with ZERO trimming of anything on the bumper. You remove...
  5. EcoD Fuel Filter Change

I believe it’s 30,000 miles or 36 months. However, with the super low miles you are running the thing I would worry about is “Microbes, including mold, fungus, and bacteria, can get inside your diesel fuel tank and grow, creating biomass, which is the technical term for the sludge that you...

  7. Diesel Front Spring Spacer Questions

Yep, winch was around 70 pounds, Rock Hard winch mount plate 25 pounds and my front end bottomed out on every bump. It already did occasionally before the added weight because the diesel motor is heavy to start with. Adding that 1” spacer was an absolute must. The Sumo Spring bump stops on...
  8. Diesel Front Spring Spacer Questions

I did exactly that. Added 1” Teraflex spacer to my diesel wrangler. Drooped front end and used a spring compressor to limit the length the spring would expand to. You will have to disconnect the sway bar end links, lower shock mount and brake line retainer. Easy job overall, a couple hours...
  9. Rubicon takeoffs on a Sport (before-after) pics

I didn’t measure, but I doubt it raised the roof by any more than 1 1/2” Max. It is less than 2” difference in tire diameter from original.
  10. Those who don't daily drive their Jeep..

Must be something around here to drive when necessary.
  11. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Added Teraflex 1” front spacers to offset the stock rake and 3/8” sag from the x20 winch (67 lb), Rock Hard winch plate (31 lb), and Rock Jock towbar base plate (65 lb). Four hour install with lots of water breaks and taking my time. I was shaded but it was around 95 degrees when I started...
  12. Traded Corvette for my first Jeep Wrangler

Out of garage space. Jeep has to sit outdoors
  13. How much does your Jeep weigh?

2021 JLU diesel weight slip at an official state scale was 4680. Full tank of fuel and 3 piece hard top. Maybe 120 lbs of gear including the Rock Jock tow bar mount.
  14. How did you decide on your engine?

You got a great deal. I too prefer simplicity, thus my decision to order a Sport in lieu of purchasing one of the over-optioned JLUs in dealer inventory. Yes, they love the extra profits on those Wranglers with piled on options and then you get to pay when any of those electronic gadgets crap...
  15. How did you decide on your engine?

My diesel of course had the 6000 dollar motor and transmission but other than that the only optional equipment was the three piece hardtop, Mopar all weather floor mats, and Sarge Green Clear-coat paint. Then they knocked $2500 off the price and added a Mopar hitch mount and the wire harness...
  16. How did you decide on your engine?

I bought my Wrangler with intent to tow a Side x Side. I had tried to tow it with a Renegade trail hawk and the 1.3 turbo. 8 mpg and many 30 mph hills later I determined to upgrade. The diesel Wrangler I bought was at the time $8000 cheaper than any Wrangler on the lot (15 or more) and 450 or...
  17. ?4 Cold Climate Diesel Owners

If it’s below 20F I try to plug mine in a couple hrs prior to startup. Easier on the engine and the defrost works much quicker.
  18. 4200 Miles, and zero oil

My 3.0 is at 3200 miles and I topped it off a couple weeks ago with 1/2 qt. But a short stick is picky. You need to perform the check while parked on a very level surface. Readings change with a pretty slight slope.
