2024 JLURX had waze going on the 12" display and all of a sudden the next turns started coming up in the middle of my speedo display where gas milage and all the 1 through 10 screens go. Is this new? If so I welcome it

That’s an awesome addition! Usually only the factory navigation system showed directions on the center screen between the gauges.

I have had this function for over a year on my 2024 Rubicon X. You put it there in your setup. It is not new... just new for you because you changed a setting. Only works for 2024 and later....

I figured out it only works for built in NAV which i never use but had to yesterday. That's why I saw it. It won't work with waze

If you have a 2024 and not using the onboard navigation you are 100% short changing yourself. It has much more than Waze has and is constantly updated... sometimes daily. I had Waze and it is not even close to what TomTom offers in our Navigation expecially if you explore the menue and options....

Yep, as others have mentioned it comes with factory navigation. Been that way for a hot minute too, my 2017 Grand Cherokee did the same thing.

I mean does it tell you where police are? No? Then no thanks. Also waze has up to date traffic patterns and usage.. data tomtom could never match

My 2015 Ram did it also.
In the past the only complaint I've had about the UConnect nav was not being able to add stops on the move. Now that I have a Tazer in my Jeep, the built in Nav is just about perfect.
I've used Waze and Google maps, but I mostly use the built in Nav now.

I've used Ford and Chevy's versions, and I'll take the Ram/Jeep Nav any day.

Actually it does tell you where the police are, red light cameras, static traffic enforcement, and it tells you where the accidents are, it does give you the flow of traffic, the gas stations, the emergency vehicles, and everything is up to date constantly. What it does't have are the childish icons, the ridiculous voices, and that attaboys and pat on the back for contributing such nonsense. Hey... but we are probably a different generation and I don't need the frivolity.

For what it’s worth, Dash directions also work via Apple Carplay when using Apple Maps in the 2024s. I still prefer Waze though.

I'll give a try if what you say is true. I cannot see how a system that isn't crowdsourced could have as accurate of traffic data as one that is does. Plus It's owned by Google who has access to real-time Android phone data that I doubt they give away.

It's been there for a while now if you have it enabled in the options.

But you have to pay for it, right? Or it was part of a package that I don't think I have? Either way, my Android Auto comes up automatically and that's fine for me.

Android auto also offers so much more ebablement in driving i could never imagine not using it and just keeping factory nav full screen. Split screen waze and Pandora on my 12.1"? Yes please
