Have already been using the butt end of key fob for awhile, but thx for suggestion. code scanner sounds interesting but jeep's already being towed to dealer, my mechanic down the street chickened out on me and thought it best to see dealer in case he wouldn't be able to figure it out. Will be interesting to see what the problem will turn out to be, hate being at the mercy of the dealer. This might sound stupid but worth a try. When the batteries in your FOB are too low to start your vehicle. You can still start the Jeep by using the butt end of the key fob to push the start button. It works cause I have had to use this. It may be worth a try..Look it up in your manual, not spoofing you..
You should replace both. At the same time if it has the second oneYeah, I do have that ESS, have had it turned off, I will see if I can get the batteries checked out. What I don't understand headlights seem strong when turn on, but cant get ignition to go to run or start, pushing start button does nothing. So maybe the auxiliary battery could cause this? where is that battery located? thx
