I love the incorporation of a switch! Well done.I designed an all aluminum dead pedal with a little extra. It can hold an "old school" floor dimmer switch. I use the switch to control my Baja Designs LP6s. It makes the ultimate backroad driving braight lights. No fumbling for a switch or taking your eyes off the road. I also have th eoption of a momentary switch for those who need a quick on/off switch for items such as horns or cameras.
It does use the single bolt mounting point on the firewall like many others but I also have a 1" bump stop that bolts in behind it for stablilty. I have the pedal mounted in a few Jeeps here at the shop and have not had any issues. As with most any aftermarket parts, it is good to occasionally check your bolts for tightness. The nut is a locking nut and you could also add loctite for extra security if you feel it may loosen.
