Chances are your Aux battery needs to be replaced. If your JL is coming up on or more than 3 years old, you'll want to check the main battery too and replace them both.

Had the same thing on my 2020. It was both batteries, covered under warranty..

May well be a battery issue but there are other causes too.
Make sure the hood is closed properly. These hood sensors if they see the hood open may generate that error too.

On my previous Wrangler, it was a shorted wire for the ESS that was generating the error. Can also be a bad relay.

My 2020 did that off an on for the first 10k miles, my dealership is horrible in lawrence so i never took it in. It hasn’t happened Since about 11k miles…. Not that that helps much

hello , just had my 2018 wrangler jl rubicon in dealer on 12-3-21 in for same issue, at first the service advisor told me no fault codes were showing for problem i described after we had string of cold weather days here in ohio and asked him if the cold weather could affect the start stop computer workings he said no and i told him i read on jeep forum some weather conditions affected the system he laughed at me. i then told him i wanted it checked out, he told me the cost would be 120.00 for tech to check out, told him to do it, after jeep was serviced the tech found out via computer and running diagnostic that it was a faulty abs module. service advisor told me it would be 500.00 plus tax to replace module. Needless to say i have to make an appointment to get it replaced and service advisor iam not happy with since his service diploma says he has been certified for only one year.

My warranty is 60,000 5 yrs, so I should be good. I think I’m in the wrong field..lol thanks for the info!!
