I’ve owned my JLR since 2021 with only 11mi on her…. Not my first Jeep by any stretch but I found this toggle interesting and still can’t figure out WTF air does… I asked my dealership and they said “to adjust your interior lighting” but I’ve played with it like a fidget spinner for over a year ?, still can’t figure it out. It’s becoming like that one light switch in your house that has no purpose other than making you crazy. Lol. Any ideas from actual owners not the techs, sales or management at the dealership that own everything but a Jeep. ? (it’s definitely not dash lights, that’s the toggle on the far right, not the footwells - only come on when the door is open, not even the sound bar lights since those are push buttons…. I’ve even taken my doors off and it still does nothing. )

Thanks, @DSW21 - it didn’t work no matter how much I messed with it after reading that post just now. What would be interesting if I could locate the actuator and hook up some interior lighting for my cargo area and hardtop window instead of relying solely on that little 5W light above my power outlet in the back. Be a “fun” project to say the least. Hate for that switch to just lay dormant.

Had same question when I tried it & it didn’t seem to do anything. Was suggested to go somewhere it’s totally dark, like pitch black dark. Parked in garage, an in total darkness rotated switch & Yes, I can see the light change. Does seem a waste to me, but I’m not the engineer who thought that was needed.

The switch's functionality will depend on the individual trim level. In some, it won't do anything. In those Jeeps where it does work, the adjustment (in lumens) that it provides was so modest as to be virtually irrelevant.

It's instructive to consider that the highlighted switch is now absent from all Wrangler builds, beginning with, IIRC, the 2023 model year. The new switch panel has just the one on the right, which continues to control gauge and dashboard control illumination.
