Got a message on the Jeep app about this new notice. Called local dealer and they were not aware of it but looked it up. Looks to be a software update for MY 22-23 JL Electric Vehicle Mode. They said that the software update was not ready but when it was I would get another notice. While the Notice shows as attached to the app and the website, when you try to download the file, it fails. Anyone else have any info on this?

Side note: Had to look up what defines a Customer Satisfaction Notice.
Per FCA: A customer satisfaction Notification (CSN) is preventive in nature and involves warranty or customer satisfaction issues that are non-safety related. FCA US LLC will correct the problem, at no charge, even if the vehicle is out of warranty and you are not the original owner.

This is interesting. I have my 4xe in for service since last week for a bad AC compressor module. I had asked that they check for software updates but since it's not a warranty issue, it was billed at an hour of shop time, about $180.

I wonder with this new notice, if I can get them to wave that.

Worth a try.

I just got a call from my dealer saying that the Jeep is ready. And when I asked about 23a, they claim that it was available and has been preformed. I'll go in a while to pick it up and try to find out more.

A quick update: It was completed. ... But I wasn't able to get any details about it.

dealer 1st said that it had been withdrawn as it caused engine warning light issues - but then looked again and saw it was a re-release (presumably as they fixed the bug I hope). Booked in for the update in 10 days

I may wait a couple months to let others test it first lol

Any more details on "23A". The PDF says nothing.

I just found this on the pdf.

The full electric vehicle mode on your vehicle may not be available due to an incorrectly
enabled engine maintenance mode designed to protect your engine from failure due to diluted
oil.

Looks like it has to do with FORM mode.

Try the pdf link again, mine now works. Something about oil refresh mode update. Nervous to let dealer tech work on electronics as it seems to be working fine.

My thoughts exactly. I have never even gone into FORM.

Probably modifying the code to not show the "message". Warmer weather is upon us and FORM should be almost a non-issue anyway.

Just another way for #Stelantis to hide their failure, like the clutch issue in the manuals.

Wonder if they're only identifying this as an issue for some 4xes? It doesn't show up in my Mopar dashboard, though I was affected by the last 2 recalls and 1 customer satisfaction notification. I haven't entered FORM in over a year of ownership, so I'm not scrambling to get a "fix" I don't need ?

Here's the PDF for anyone curious: https://www.chrysler.com/universal/webselfservice/pdf/23A.pdf

"WHY DOES MY VEHICLE NEED REPAIRS? The full electric vehicle mode on your vehicle may not be available due to an incorrectly enabled engine maintenance mode designed to protect your engine from failure due to diluted oil.

HOW DO I RESOLVE THIS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION? FCA US will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will reprogram several electronic modules. The estimated repair time is about 30 minutes. In addition, your dealer will require your vehicle for proper check-in, preparation, and check-out during your visit, which may require more time. Your time is important to us, so we recommend that you schedule a service appointment to minimize your inconvenience. Please bring this letter with you to your dealership."

@martoaj , Thank you. But still doesn't says anything. What modules are the reprogramming and why? My Service guy is very straight forward with me. I'll stop by soon and get the real scoop along with dozen glazed doughnuts.
