Custom Build Wait Time

Ordered a new JLUR today. For anyone who recently ordered; what was your wait time from order to delivery to dealership?

Why?

For years after COVID, custom orders were commonly taking 4-8 months to build, especially if you wanted something Stellantis didn't feel like building at the time. For example, I ordered in September 2022, and it was delivered at the end of February 2023. In my case, I think they were trying to focus on 4xe builds for the end of the year 2022 to bolster their tax credit/cafe numbers.

It was a loooooonnnnggg 5 1/2 months, let me tell you. However, I'm glad I got what I wanted...eventually.

Renee at Gupton said they had a factory order manual tranmission ordered on 3/9/26 and it is scheduled to be delivered today, 4/15/26. I ordered my Rubicon X manual on 4/9, so hopefully I will have mine before the end of May...

Mine is a manual too. Luckily, I took delivery maybe a week before they put a hold on all manuals until they had the 19A recall done. I’m not sure I could have waited another 6 months.

How long did it take to go from VON to VIN?

I ordered on Friday April 10th and got my VON, and then Renee sent me my VIN on Monday April 13th, so 3 days from order to VIN.

Why?

The factory took its sweet time. Apparently they do them in batches. My order came in when they just finished the Willys run. Had to wait for the next one. Or so my sales guy explained it to me.

Ordered 3.28, tracker is stuck saying “order confirmed”

I ordered a Moab 392 on Jan 10, and it arrived at the dealership Feb 12.
4 1/2 weeks from order to dealership! I just plain got lucky on that one.
