I spoke to my dealer yesterday they checked with their district manager, tentative build date of 3/28, ordered 12/26. He told me the plastic door sill guards are the hold up…

Hi,

At least you have a eta, ordered 11/29 was in D then last Friday back to C, as of this Tuesday back to D

And yes I also have plastic sill guards.

Regards,
Jim

As I expected, 7-9 weeks is a pipe dream for most of us. I'm at 6 weeks still in D.

Fool me once (on my 15 week 2021) shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Even if I go D1 tommorrow (uh huh, rigghhtttt) it would be 4-6 weeks (best case) before it drops.

So I'm guessing an order-delivery date of 12-16 weeks is more realistic and what I've prepared myself for.

I know there are lots of theories on build priority, but based on what I've seen over the past 7 months, I'm leaning towards builds like mine getting built only when the higher margin options are temporarly OOS.

As a businessman, I'm actually OK with that.

I ordered 10/12 and was told 6-8 weeks. We are at week 13 and they still haven’t scheduled/gathered the parts to build mine. JC is full of shit with the 7-9 week timeline unless it’s a Rubicon with every box checked.
JC Told me the same, BS

I just got an email from JEEP saying welcome to the family & that there hasn’t been a delivery date established. It’s a guessing game at this point I believe.

That's ridiculous. If true I would think the factory would just delete them from the order and build it the way they did with the floor mats. Silly reason to hold up a build. Especially since they are available online. I just added them to my JL.

Indeed; explains why my Jeep has been built and just waiting for 'additional equipment' to be installed. Silly sill guards!

I don't get the sill guard thing. Perhaps its only an issue on lifted jeep? I've had mine over 4 months and my sills are untouched.

Lots more issues with chipped door hinge fronts.

I like the look and extra layer of protection as my girlfriend and friends aren't as mindful as I am.

I have front mudguards I'm bringing with me to the dealer to install before the long drive home.

What brand mud guards did you get?
I got the Weathertechs and they are really nice and fit like a glove. They even have a "pocket" for longer running boards/tubes.

In the month before I got them I acquired 3 hinge chips. I run skinny-ass factory street tires and never leave the pavement. I can't imagine what the hinges look like on the Jeep with the ginormous tires that stick out 8" more and actually hit the trails.

I got just the fronts from RokBlokz: https://rokblokz.com/products/jeep-wrangler-jl-jlu-2018-mud-flaps

They have the little pocket cut out for the stock Rubi rails.

2022 392 XR ordered 10/15; VIN 10/16; still sitting in D status.
I am in the same boat. Ordered my 2022 392 XR 10/16/2021 and still in D Status. I got my VIN number right away. Does anyone know how long the wait is? Thanks!

Me too! ordered 10/16/2021 and got VIN right away but still in D status. Any idea from anyone how much longer it will be?
