looking to get a stingray Sahara, with some basic package/options. Nothing special. What is average lead time from time to order with dealer to time of delivery/pickup? Like… 6 weeks or like 6 months?

And am I reading correct in that you only pay a small deposit/fee when ordering and you don’t pay for it in full until you pick it up?
Just trying to get an idea of timing and time it with my bonus check.

"6 weeks or like 6 months?" Somewhere in between or longer. Keep in mind orders for 2022s will be coming to a close pretty quickly as it's been reported the ordering for 2023's will open in about 4 weeks.

My Nov 13th order was just built this week & there are still people who ordered in Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan whose vehicles have not started production.

Or wait and put in an order for a 2023. The options available for 2022s right now seem to be very limited and getting more limited as days go by.

Ordering a 2023… being a new model, would there be a longer lead time for those?

Can't order much right now. Maybe sports, if you want Rubicon or Sahara will be next month sometime. Looks like August for build starting I think.

In theory, they should build '22s before '23s, but I think there will be overlap depending on packages you get.

Ordered a 22 Rubicon 4xe on 4/29 and it's still on scheduled status, I'm gonna be pissed if we get a decent interior upgrade with Uconnect 5, and cherry on top if I have to wait to get mine after some 23s are delivered.

The year is almost half over. Be patient and wait for the 2023 order banks to open next month. The minor refresh should be worth the wait.

Only three more months in this model year...more than half over.

OK cool, thanks for all the info! Really appreciate it.
Wife is leasing an Unlimited Sport (1 year in) and loves it and definitely wants a keeper, so we're gonna buy one. Just hate to keep leasing it as much as possible but technically there's no rush. At this point with the given info, guess I'll just wait for the '23 orders to start and order one of those.
...And no, not gonna just buy the leased one. It's black and she really wants a Stingray one.
