I've got a 2022 4xe that still needs 95b done. What is the current experience with most dealers and Jeep? Specifically around loaners/rentals

I have the Mopar MaximumCare service plan, although that probably doesn't influence, but I can't be without my Jeep for even a day due to work. Is Jeep doing loaners on this recall, even the up front evaluation? No dealer does these on the weekend so I have to drop it off on a Saturday and let them work on it during the week

I've also got some other warranty work (still under the factory warranty for 4k more miles even w/MaximumCare) to do--the windshield washers don't work. I'd like to take it and let them do everything it needs but feel like my regular dealer, which has a decent service department, is going to be a pain in the ass about a loaner or rental

Should I call Jeep first to get one lined up before going to the dealer? Is that something Jeep will do or do I need to go to the dealer first?

I think you will find it varies entirely by the dealer you choose; some dealers just do not have loaners. If that's the case, Jeep should reimburse you for a rental. Definitely call your dealership to make arrangements before you drop it off.

Call your dealer and ask. It's very much a dealer specific thing.
We ended up scheduling for when they had a loaner avaliable and it was reserved for us; your dealer might do it differently.

Utter insanity putting off the 95b recall. Now that you posted in a public for that, you do acknowledge that you need and yet have not done the 95B recall, puts any liability that happens to your jeep, your home or any nearby structures that catch fire because of your negligence on you 100%.Get it done!

It’s not like 100% before doing the recall the Jeep is going to blow up and 100% after getting the recall done it won’t. After all yours has been on the road for three years. The recall is just some programming that should only take a few hours. Talk to your dealers to see if they can minimize the time yours is in the shop. The caveat is that if your battery turns out to fail the new 95b diagnostics the dealer is going to keep it for a long, long time to replace the HV battery.

most stealerships cant even do the entire procedure properly. Get the software update and it will monitor the HV battery and disable it before you go boom (at least that is the hope and have been confirmed by many)

My local dealer doesn’t do rentals or even a local courtesy shuttle home. They did overlook my lift and multiple other mods on a warranty repair so I’ll take it.

Local dealer knocked mine out in a few hours. Longest part was waiting for them to test drive it. Be sure to drop it with a full charge so they don’t have an excuse to put it off.

Problem is all the dealers near me only do this work 8-5 Monday through Friday. Their "master mechanics" only work during the week and the only do oil changes on the weekend. I'm trying to avoid needing to take a day off work to sit around and wait

Plus, if I do need the battery I don't want to surprise be without my Jeep because I need it to drive to work, and from everything I've read they don't want you to leave with it if it fails (although if you really, really pressed it I don't think they could absolutely keep it)

And then that bonus other warranty non-recall work on top of it is probably going to take longer than a whole day altogether, even if I schedule it in advance
