I’ve been running without dust shields for a while, but not liking the crap getting in the axle tubes. Thinking I would go with these.....

but I’m not crazy about not knowing if inner seals let go, since you won’t see oil leaking. With these you’d have to check diff oil level more often. That’s not a big deal, but it’s something I don’t want to have to do.

The reason I never put the factory shields on is they wouldn’t fit over the axle shafts, beings they’re a little bigger diameter. So I decided to try and clearance them enough to get them on.

As it turns out, this works perfectly. You have to take out quite a bit of material, but it works. I used a dremel with sanding drum and took my time. When I snapped them on I used some glue, so they are one and done, if I have to get back in my diff for re-gear I’ll have to make another set, or get the rcv ones, and add diff inspection to every other oil change , and stop being so damn lazy..

Had to do a little cleanup after getting nailed by Elsa last night. Had several 70+ mph wind gusts and a ton of rain.

We were fortunate to only have one limb come down. It broke but didn’t break all the way through, so I got the dune buggy out and put her to work. Winched the limb the rest of the way down out of there........

But the main reason I’m posting, i is this little shorty strap. It’s the Factor55 Shorty Strap ll.
This thing is awesome, very versatile and super fast to use. I use the crap out of this thing...........?
