Yea my drivers seat is creaking now. Is this a recall issue?
I'm also hearing some type of clunking noise from directly below the passenger seat only on turns, not straights--not sure if it is due to the seat itself or underneath the car.

Think it may be related to this issue: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...e-when-turning-left-or-right-low-speed.17067/

@JeepCares, any idea what may be causing that sound?
Hi nypharm and Komi85,
We certainly understand your concerns. Unfortunately, we are unable to determine the cause of the sound you are hearing. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We would also like to have this documented and looked into further so please send us a private message if you decide to have this addressed by your dealer.

Just to let everyone know.... The grease thing works. Just unbolt the seat and lean it forward so you can get to the the plastic cover where the seat hinges.( The center console side, 2 phillips screws ) You will see a tube that goes from one side to the other. It's not the actual hinge point. When there is someone in the seat, their weight makes the flared part of the tube slide a little against the flat bracket. Get some bearing grease and force it under the flare of the tube and the bracket.....all done!

Month old JLRU and passenger seat now sounds like it is going to fall apart while someone is seated. I was worried I was the only one. Sounds like a little grease may do the trick. Does anyone have any longevity updates after applying the grease?

Is this just a creak? My passenger seat sounds like a loose bolt, or something. Almost like when you adjust the seat position but don't get it just right in the click, and then suddenly it clicks. I hope you know what I am talking about and not just crazy. It only happens when someone is sitting in the seat. Will poke my head under there soon as I can, just wondering if any of you know what it could be, point me in the right direction. I did a quick search of TSBs and whatnot, but haven't had access to my actually computer until now, and I am not too good at searching things on my phone.

I have had my Jeep at the dealer since last Thursday and today they told me it is the seat frame and that their is a new revision that wonā€™t be available until June 18th, I will have to take it back then to get replaced.

Yep, that's what it sounds like. You won't be able to do anything from the bottom. You have to get to it from the side plastic cover. You don't need to unplug anything, just take the 4 bolts that hold the seat in and get in the back seat... Then lean the whole seat forward. It sounds like it is coming from the seat rails but it isn't.

First post, and came here to add myself to the passenger seat clunk list. I've had it to the dealership once, and was told that the seat rail bolts needed tightening. Problem was fixed for almost a day that way, and now the sound has returned. It's super annoying. I may try the grease method if getting the seat corrected at the dealership again turns into a pain...

3 inch long down to bare steel, about 1/4 wide. Yes, hit the plastic too. Total animal, no brains.

My 2019 JLUR passenger seat started this a few weeks back. Seems to be getting much worse the more we drive. Luckily mine is already being repurchased so hopefully my replacement order does not do the same after time.

It was odd, was fine for close to 8k miles, then just started out of nowhere.
