My GG windshield cracked from the bottom at 750 miles. If you look in your warranty package you will find a two year warranty on GG. The dealer took a photo of the crack showing no impact and replced it under warranty. The warranty is good for one replacement only.

I had GG and it cracked from a stone. I was in snow and I noticed a crack on the right side of the window away from the other crack.

I've heard people say that if the windshield is cold and you turn on the heater it may crack. Yours looks like it happened right above the heater vents.

Interesting, I have GG and it just got absolutely beaned with a rock that was large enough that I watched it hit, bounce then land behind me and it didn't phase the GG...

On Saturday it was @10 degrees F or so where I live (warm for some of you) and out of no where the windshield cracked. Happened during the first few minutes of driving and no rocks were kicked up. Is it possible the cold did it? And is this something that shouldn’t have happened and would be covered under warranty?

I just had this happen to mine too. Only had it since November and no chip was detected. It was covered under warranty because they couldn’t find an impact spot.

I have only had my jeep since 11/29 and discovered a crack with no impact point on it on Sunday….. I was just going to use insurance, but will definitely call the dealer now.

I truly believe the problem lies in the fact that all windshields are now bonded in place rather than the 'old school' method using a rubber molding that not only cushioned, but also allowed movement between the glass and the frame. Expansion and contraction due to temperature differential stresses the glass when it's too constrained by the bonding process.
My 89' YJ is still sporting the original windshield...although grossly pitted, never has cracked.

The chip if any is a non-warranty issue. If there is not a chip detected, then it is a stress crack, which should be coved under warranty. But the Dealer will probably try to deny warranty.
This. If a stress fracture it “should“ be covered. If there is ANY chip or other visible damage, it’s your problem.

Mine cracked this weekend. I am assuming it was because I had the defroster on high while I was cleaning the snow off. Such a bummer.
Same! Just happened to me yesterday. Defrost on high while I was removing ice from windshield. Noticed crack immediately upon entering jeep. I'm pissed to say the least

while i didnt have Jeep when i lived in ND, i did spend 14+ years there, even in -30 none of my vehicles, including the one parked out side had any sort of crack whatsoever. and yes, i remote started it for 15-20 mins to melt the snow every morning and then in the evening while coming back home from work
