Nice crack
Wow. Thanks. I'm blushing.Nice crack
Mine started to crack on a nice day not too cold. Not sure if from heat but there she went. 2 windshields in a year. cracked clear across the windshield. Also had my 3rd back window blow out too. So in two jeeps 7 windshields and 6 rear windows replaced. NOT GOOD. Have the last rear window on video blowing out.Hello,
If anyone is having issues with what they believe their defrost starting a crack in their windshield, we would like to hear more. Please send us a private message with more details and pictures if you have them. We hope to hear from you soon.

Mine did this too. Starts at bottom and goes all the way across. The crack on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL started on a cold day when the front defrost was blowing on the windshield. The crack started at the bottom of the windshield and has now moved all the way across.

This happens so many times I had to wait over 6 months to get a windshield as they were out of them. REALLY!!!!!Hi Sparty007,
We are sorry to hear you have experienced this. Please send us a private message with your VIN and pictures of your windshield so we can look into this further!

Still waiting for @JeepCares to do anything (so far they have offered to help me a half dozen times but done nothing at all over almost 2 weeks now). My crack has spread, and now, just this morning in the driveway just warming the Jeep up I heard another 'pop/crack' and a big starburst literally popped in the center of the existing crack. My windhshield is LITERALLY breaking apart in my driveway with the defrost on LOW!
Dealers will NOT schedule me (I've tried every day this entire week) because they all contract with Safelite Glass for all glass repairs. @JeepCares has told me if I go to Safelite they won't warranty anything - kind of a catch 22. Steph, from @JeepCares keeps saying she'll get me an appointment with a dealer, then going dark for a couple days at a time. Haven't heard from her in 2 days now. Looks like Jeep is going to lose a customer in the future from me for sure. Love my JL, but this may be the last of the line if they don't step it up. I'm also going to be swaying any and all colleagues/friends/etc towards other brands based on this customer service experience along with Jeeps lack of interest in making what is clearly a manufacturing error on their part right.
**Anyone else with info/experience regarding a non-collision based crack (like mine that occurred in the driveway with the defroster on) please PM me and let's get a group going. I"m going to submit to the BBB as well as take it up with Jeep down a different avenue than @JeepCares since they're getting me absolutely nowhere and simply showing up on the forum to give the impression they're helping vs actually helping.
If we can get enough cases together we can either go through the BBB, Jeep, or heck I might even consider a class action as the glass windshield is pretty important, and if it can spontaneously break from running the HVAC- that's dangerous. I'm honestly worried my windshield will break apart at speed now, since it popped again this morning in my driveway and chips of glass popped out of the existing crack.
I wish would have saved me over 2500.00 in windows!!!Does Jeep offer lifetime warranty on windshields at time of purchase? Currently in process of ordering mine so haven’t had to go through the warranty spiel. My cousin got a 4Runner recently and they offered her lifetime for windshield. I’m guessing Jeep doesn’t. Haven’t heard anything about it. With all these cracks they should.
Should buff outThis is my 7th broken windshield in 12 months! I drive my Jeep hard and sadly thought FCA would make them tougher. Fat chance.

You should have had it ceramic coated, then you could just wash all that off with garden hose.Should buff out
The operators might not speak English as a first language. Many companies have call centers overseas.Hello all. I became a Wrangler owner in May 2018. 2018 Rubicon JL. I am on my 7th windshield since May 2018 to Jan 2020. I live in Phoenix and all we have are rocks, but my daughters 2015 JL has only had 2 windshields. I called Jeep Wave team and they kept telling me to take it up with my insurance. I kept saying I get that I am calling about a structural improvement or an apparatus of sorts help me stop paying $500 a pop for glass. They wouldn’t recommend anything and just keep saying to deal with my insurance. Jeep Wave is a joke. What a waste. Who doesn’t recognize basic sentence structure. Does anyone have any type of solution what so ever in regards to helping me stop feeling like I cant afford this Jeep. I love it and I go off-roading approx 2-4 times a week. I USE my Jeep. I watch EVERY vehicle in front and keep more than appropriate spacing. Nothing helps. My last cracked windshield was behind a 4 door sedan at 42 mph and bam 3 cracks up 2/3 of the windshield. I need help.
