I have a 23 2 door sport. I've added a steal bumper and winch.

My front end started to sag after 6 months and the ride is stiffer.

I have 33" ko2s.

Can I just replace the factory coil springs with better ones?

Any suggestions?

I was going to just use a leveling kit, but I don't think that will improve the ride quality. I'd be happy with the factory feel.

Yes sir; I would replace all four springs with dual-rate HD springs. That’s exactly what we did when we had mine and my wife’s Jeeps lifted.

Swap in some Rubi takeoff springs and shocks (cheap) and maybe add some front spring pucks if you still have too much rake. The longer MOPAR front LCAs are cheap too.

Do you know how much weight you added over the front? Some stiffer springs should do the trick, but if you go too stiff the front won’t compress as much over small bumps etc on the road and it will feel ‘chattery and darty’.

Does anyone know if the front spring rate is different when you buy the steel bumper option with the winch?

that option should weigh very similar and if Jeep changes the spring rate on the build from the factory then you know what spring rate to buy. Just match what they do.

Will the Rubicon stock springs handle the extra weight?

Yeah. I have stock Rubi springs and front pucks on my mostly stock Rubi with a winch.

Not by themselves. I have a Rubicon with a winch and steel bumpers. Con is the front sags. Pro is my caster increased to about 5.6 degrees.

If you're doing rubi springs I would add a 1/2" or 1" spacer lift. Or just get different springs than a rubi takeoff. I was thinking about changing out my springs just to level it but it seems like a lot of work for just leveling the jeep.

3/4 inch Daystar front leveling kit will do the trick. Easy install, and very inexpensive. I used on my gladiator and on my ‘22 JL, made it sit perfect.

Where in MA are you? You can PM me if you'd like. I have a 1/2" TF spacers and Rubi shocks you could have.

I have a 4 door Willys that I upgraded a while back with Rubicon Springs. This raised it about 1 3/4". I also put the 1/2" spacers in the front to level it off. Recently, I installed the Mopar steel bumper, TF 1.5 leveling kit and Mopar lift LCA's.

Again, I strongly recommend HD dual rate springs over single rate Rubicon stock springs. You won’t need spacers with the dual rate; they resist sagging over time with bumper and winch MUCH better than ANY single rate spring. There are many other advantages as well. I recommend you research this on your own, comparing dual, progressive, and single rate springs. Too much to write here.
