Just got a new (to me) 2021 JLURD with 15k miles on it. Loving her, and loving being back in a 4WD again. I also dabbling in air-cooled Porsche's, and previous 4WD were a 1970 FJ40 (built ion 1995, several Rubicon trips, lots of fun and well built), and then later a factory V8 4Runner (many great trips in that too, not quite Rubicon level of course). I'm getting the Jeep sorted before I do a proper introduction of her.

My issue is that she seems to sit on her nose a lot, 2" difference front/rear at the fenders. Originally I was gong to throw a spacer in there to temporarily level her out. Then I noticed that my bump stops up front only have about 1.5" of daylight before the they touch. After doing some researching around here and I'm not convinced I have the right....or maybe optimal stock springs. I am hoping to correct some/all of the nose down stance with the tallest/stiffest factory stings. Since they are about $100/corner that wont be too expensive. Currently I have 3601AD's rear and 7622AD's rear. Thanks to the previous owner she has a factory steel front bumper, hardtop, and a Warn VR12. So.....which front spring part number should I be looking at? Think I will also want a spacer?

PS - Eventually I will get a 2.5 MC lift, and I know this "could" be the opportunity to just do that and be done, but I want to wait for that. My plan is get her sorted first, and get through this set of mostly fresh 33" BFG's, and then do the MC lift when new tires are needed.

Did I stump everyone……..or should I post this over in the suspension forums (didn't notice that until after I posted this).

Like myself, most of us don't have factory springs to be able to tell you...

But, judging by the picture in your avatar, I would say they are correct. The extra weight of the winch and bumper plus they arent really level from the factory anyway.
Just throw a cheap spacer in it and call it a day until the tires wear out.

It sounds like you may just have factory front springs. Your situation sounds a lot like mine. I have a 2021 JLURD. I didn't get the factory steel bumper or winch and added those later. The heavy diesel engine was already sagging out the front end and the additional weight didn't help the situation. I might have an inch or inch and a half between the bump stop and pad. I thought about adding spacers but even adding spacers requires nearly all (maybe exactly all) of the work that you would have to do to change springs. I have trust issues with my Jeep so it has stayed stock and I'm not sure if I will lift it at all.

Just for clarification, FWD typically refers to "Front Wheel Drive". I think the acronym you're looking for is 4WD.

lol. Yeah my bad. That’s what I meant (corrected above).

Thanks for the advice on the springs. To both of you.

For a factory equipped steel front bumper, your front springs should end with 602. It sounds like the previous owner swapped the plastic bumper for steel which is why your springs end with 601 instead.

EDITED - I think on my Jeep the 622’s are up front and the 601’s are the rears though?
