Hello, battery tested by a reputable shop at 680 CCA, however Jeep won’t remote start even at 25 degrees F. Any ideas? Engine start button works fine.

How old Is the battery? I’ve heard plenty of batteries that pass cca test but not a load test. This sounds like a battery issue. Do you still run an aux battery? If you don’t want to replace them it may be worth load testing

Cold kills batteries and reduces the performance of even the best of them.

So the key fob will open the door with 1 press but the remote start doesn’t work with the double press?

This happened to us not but 3 weeks ago in VA. Ended up upgrading from H6 to H7 and ditching the aux battery by using the aux delete guide thread in this forum. No problems since.

In another thread on a newer model, the dealer replaced a transmission solenoid. At first it seemed strange, but apparently there's some solenoid that locks or checks to make sure that the car is in park before remote starting. I have been having very similar issues on my 2024. I have hesitated to swap a two and a half year old battery, when it should be under warranty, and it may actually be something else. I've been toy with the idea of attaching a battery jumper under the hood while attempting to remote start it to see if it is the battery or not.

If you do, remember the hood needs to be closed to remote start as well.

Hmm I that would make sense in some situations. For me, literally bad battery. Went to remote start, honk honk, click. Thew the charger on for a few hours and then fired right up (also have had the dreaded "Aux switches..." notification recently too)

Yeah I have the aux switch thing too. That I believe is clearly a battery issue. That's what led me to think the disabled remote start was also battery related.

Here's my update. It was the remote battery!!!
The 1st thing I checked was the remote (and my spare). I checked by going next to the vehicle to try to remote start and it didn't start. In hind sight I think I had already tried twice, been locked out, and didn't reset prior to trying again.

I was using my phone to record the start noises when it didn't start. 2 days, at 25 degrees and it started when I was next to it. I went back to check the remote after it started on 2 cold mornings when I was next to the car. Changed the remote battery and now back to normal remote starts from the house to a detached garage.

Glad I didn't take it to the dealer or get a new battery but sorry I didn't know about the two tries and lock out until later.
