So previously I was having overheating issues which I’ve since got the issues fixed. I replaced all 4 spark plugs, replaced cylinder 1 and 4 ignition coils, new thermostat, new heater supply hose. I had coolant in my tanks but my recovery tank was bone dry, so I filled it up and let the jeep run and when I checked it, it was bone dry again so I added more to it which then it remained. Being in the AZ Summer heat I was pushing the jeep probably more than I should have and I was watching the temps but it never over heated or reached its max. But when I reached my destination, after a few mins the office reported to me that my jeep was smoking and liquid was pouring on the ground. I figured it was just the coolant overflow since the tank was too full (which it was). There was a lot that spilled and the jeep ran with no problems. But when I ran it at higher speeds (70s-80s) it would continue to leak. Now every time I drive it’s always spilling coolant. What should I be looking for for damage or to replace?

This just sounds like there was air in the system. You filled the tank up, then the system purged the air, which then is kicking out all of the extra fluid it doesn't need. I don't think you have any serious issues. It just needs to be bled properly.

Could this still be the case even though it’s been driven a few thousand miles since fixing the original issues?

So my recovery tank was completely dry again but my other coolant tanks still had coolant in them are good levels. When I added more coolant to the recovery tank and I turned the jeep on, coolant was just seeping out of recovery tank (out of the sides) and just pouring into the ground. I’m guessing that is my issue and the whole recovery tank needs to be replaced.

It's a pressurized system so if there are any leaks, this would explain the issue.

If the tank is cracked or broken, then your coolant is escaping as steam/vapor when the engine is hot.

Got to fix that tank, then do a pressure test to double check things. Once that's done, you'll be golden.

I looked up the part for the tank so I’ll just replace the tank since it seems like it’s all around busted through the sides. Could this fix this issue or is it possible other components causing a pressure issue?

I would replace the cap, for sure. It’s supposed to be the pressure release. Other than that, a new tank, and you’ll be alright.

do a coolant pressure test, make sure to get the adapter for use with coolant res cap.

If the system isn’t sealing properly and able to maintain pressure, then the coolant will boil and the expanding steam will push coolant out of the overflow.
