As I was driving yesterday I got a whiff of antifreeze a couple of times and when I got home sure enough the Jeep made a small puddle (2-3 inches).

Of course the current mileage is 36,322. Thanks goodness for extended warranties!

The leak is about even with the front tires towards the drive side.

Doing research it seems like it might be the water pump. Any other guesses?

I can't get into the dealer until 7:30 Thursday so I'll let everyone know what's up then.

Other then a computer update for the blue screen of death and the V41 steering stabilizer recall this is the first thing I've had it in for. Hopefully it's something simple and I'll get it back quick.

So I finally had a chance to crawl under her (the Jeep) this morning and it does look like it is coming from the water pump. Hopefully they have one in stock or can get one quick. I already miss driving her :(

So the dealer said there were two bolts and a hose clamp that were loose. They have no idea what could have caused it. I do a lot of dirt roads but stay away from washboard roads as much as I can. So $100 bucks later and it's l fixed. Bonus, it only took them three hours from drop off until pick up. I figured they would at least have it all day.

I assume the $100 was the deductible for your extended warranty correct?

Actually they just charged me the $100 and didn't go through the warranty. They take good care of me there (LHM Sandy, UT).
