Anyone have experience with the Continental Terraincontact A/T tire? The on-line ratings look good but the individual reviews are all over the place. Most of my miles are on pavement. Off road for me is a forest service road or similar. I live near Phoenix so snow performance is not a priority. This tire seems to fit my needs with a decent price. Some comments based on real experience would be great.

It’s been a bit since I’ve bought Conti’s for any of my rides. I’ve read some reviews on these and I feel there are better tires for a Jeep. My personal favorite right now are the Falken Wildpeaks A/T O3W’s. I’ll probably go with those when my Destination M/T’s get worn down more. I run these on a Subaru Outback and they have done well in every situation I’ve put them in.

All the Conti’s I’ve had are more performance tires for cars and they have all been great.

I bought a set of these for my Subaru Forester, mainly to assist on forest roads. Got them as a light AT -- literally lighter in weight than K02 -- didn't want to loose too much on road pleasantry -- had good ratings -- very happy with them -- and, heck, if I want significantly better off-road performance, I should just get a jeep! (on its way).
I also have dedicated winter tires because I live in northwest Wyoming. So, I only have 16K miles on them and can't speak to longevity. I just know I have had no problems; never needed more traction.

I have them on my Tundra. It's used mainly for highway and forest service roads. I have Jeeps for the more difficult stuff. They are great on the highway. Smooth, quiet ride and a little better mpg than the factory Michelins had. They aren't an aggressive tread but they do look nice.

The Continental Terrain Contact A/T is becoming a popular choice on several different platforms. Very smooth, quiet, and nice all terrain appearance. Demand is growing! Availability is good.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still trying to decide which tire I want. I also need to choose new wheels first.

Hello fellow Phoenician, I've put them on two vehicles and love them. They perform exceptional and look pretty good, and weigh a lot less than KO2s. On my last vehicle that I had them on, they stopped making the size I needed, so I put Nitto Terra Grapplers on it. I could never get those balanced, and my truck shook at high speeds.

I've put the Conti's on our current Armada because I want an offroadish tire when off pavement, but lightweight on pavement.

Ran them for about 30k on our Ecodiesel Grand Cherokee in a 265/65 R18 size. Found them excellent, and almost silent. Great in the wet and decent in the snow. Replaced Cooper AT3s with the Conti's - night and day. Coopers got real loud after about 20k and wore down fast. Would have put another set of Conti's on if I still had the Grand Cherokee. I think they are also one of Tire Racks highest rating AT tire.
