Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs. Full stop. I don't think I'll every buy another tire for either Jeep unless they just stop making them.
I am right there with you. Michey Thompson Baja Boss ATs for me. They perform great in every terrain and every weather condition. I just got home and will install another new set.

I have run the Nitto Terra Grappler's for years a great tire.. but I noticed that lately that

milestar patagonia x/t are available now at walmart now for way less $$ and look to be just as good. Like 3/4 to 1/2 the price.

Not as much side wall, but they are great tires.
Just know that the Milestar Patagonia tires are by far the worst tire I have ever owned. Use that information however you want. I would like to punch every YouTube influencer in the face that recommended those tires.

You get what you pay for.

We all want good cost to performance ratio products, but at least pick something that's made by a real tire company that actually owns a tire manufacture facility.

This is one of the many things I’ve learned on here this past year. If ol’ @wibornz says it it’s church! He’s put more miles on his jeep than anyone on here that I have seen. I mean honestly most of the regulars on here have some sound advice. But as far as advice for tires, terrain and longevity, I’m not sure there is another forum member on here with more miles that him!

I would seiously take the Walmart Dexteros over Milestar tires. The Dextero tires are actually pretty decent given the price.

I bet you’d be hard press to find a reformed Patagonia owner who would buy them again. Case in point above, @wibornz

I put them on my SBXJ. I thought good enough for a shitbox. NO, they are not good enough even for a shitbox.

The things a modern Jeep hides from you with anti lock brakes, traction control and stability control.

We are taking drum brakes no anti lock brakes. This Jeep would lock up the rear tires during braking easily on wet pavement. Like trying to stop at the end of my driveway kind of stuff while gong slow. In the rain, I had to drive it completely different. It would lock up tires so easily, I kept at least 4 car lengths in front of me in traffic.

While he 4.0 is a great motor, it is no power house. We are talking about approx. 150 hp at the rear tires with stock gears and stock tires. Throw a set of 33 Milestar Patagonia tires on it and it will spin the tires easily from a start. If the pavement was wet, it would spin the tires and upshift to 3rd gear with the auto transmission before it would gain traction. Not traction control so the Jeep can not hide the tires poor performance.

The only place I thought that they performed okay was in the sand at the dunes aired down to 8 psi. On the road, they were horrible. But hey if you are good with a tire that can be overwhelmed by 150 hp on the street, Then Milestar Patagonia tires are awesome. Just know mine started to cup at 3,000 miles so make sure you rotate them often.

I also say it is far and few between that will say, I got 50,000 or 60,000 miles out of a set of Milestar tires. What you do here is they are so inexpensive, I can swap out to a new set at 25,000 to 30,000.

At the end of the day if someone wants to buy Milestart tires, it is their money, buy them. For me, I would pick up a second job working afternoons in a bowling alley and save up to get a better tire..

Your experience, you related on this forum, is the reason I didn't buy these tires and went with the Mickey Thompson BB/AT. The choice was easy for me. I had been buying Mickey Thompson/Cooper tires for my trucks over the past 10 years. 👍

The fact that Milestar isnt even a real tire manufacturer is enough for me. And the 2 years after the tire came out, they got complaints about bad wear and loud road noise. They decided to ask their influencers spreading information that the tire was designed to only ride on the crown on road, so it is meant to run on higher psi.

I am no tire expert but I call that BS.
