Powerbuilt makes a unit that lifts 6000lbs up to 21" and will hold as a stand all in 1 move $62.99 from Eastwood. So all that to ask this? Are these the good idea they intended? If this isn't what I need/want, what should I be looking at?

Looks ok but the base looks a bit small as far as the jack stand side of it. I prefer a wider base on my jack stands. One word of caution though. I don't usually find that there is an area that will allow jacking and a good spot for the vehicle to sit on a jack stand that close together. Under axles and frame, but not much else.

I prefer separate bottle jack and jack stands. I might change my mind if I could ever use one of these bottle jack/jack stand combo units. May be excellent for compactness and roadside tire swap?

I have the 4000 pound one from Amazon and love it. I used it the other day to do a tire rotation. It’s small and fits in my trunk without taking up too much room and I feel it’s safer than using a hi-lift jack. Last trip I was on, one of the guys blew a tire and there were 3 of us that had one. They aren’t all that pricey and they work great.

First, define your needs and wants. Only you know what you want, and what you will settle for.

Compared to the stock scissor, most any pneumatic is easier to raise. Myriad "new and improved" pneumatic jack+stand combinations natively include the jack stand "safety".

If you get one, check the welds and angles. (Check the welds on anything load-bearing anyway)

The stock scissor on any vehicle nowadays is meant to change flats, not to raise/reposition or rotate tires or whatnot.

Do your research, and make your choice. But let the forum know!

Appreciate the input, maybe tweak my plan a bit, perhaps one of those dual purpose jacks for playing and a standard set for garage work (stationary/solid).
