Like many others, I have received and read recall notices about the MT Wrangler JL clutch recall. it is enough to scare me some. but my question is, what is causing these failures? Hard ofroad use, or is it random? There does not seem to be a fix and that scares me as this is my daily driver.
I have a 2018 JLU that sees light offroading (fire roads in mountains or drive on beach/sand once) every few months and has 50K miles. So far i have had no issues with my clutch. is this a disaster waiting to happen?
What happens when the clutch goes?
