I drive a 2021 JLU Willys. I noticed last night my climate control has vanished from my screen. What the hell happened? I tried turning on the heat and it wouldn’t respond, so I quickly realized I don’t even have an option for heat or ac, only seat and steering wheel heaters. I have a Tazer installed and tried messing around with that, but couldn’t find anything missing. Please tell me someone has a fix for this.

I know this isn't a helpful comment, but at the same time just reading this makes me so happy I got the 5-in screen. Analog temperature knobs.

I'm always saying technology is only good until it fails, I'd much rather have analog everything. At least then when something fails it's buttons knobs and wires, don't have to worry about programming and upgrade issues.

She has analog knobs as well as the screen. OP, are the knobs not working either?

Did you unplug your battery recently? I learned from someone else on this forum that it can take a few minutes for the uconnect to repopulate everything after a battery disconnect.

Knobs aren’t working either. That’s what made me go “hmmmm” so I tried turning it on through the screen and realized the option was missing.

sounds like your climate control unit went out somehow.... when the radio doesnt see the climate control unit, it will automatically remove the options as it thinks you dont have the auto ac unit. are you still under warrantee? if not, i have a climate control unit for sale

Well that blows. I’m still under warranty so if everything above doesn’t work, looks like I’ll have to take it in.

Have you checked the mechanical parts of the system like the fuses and the blower motor?

I understand it might not have anything to do with the computer side of it, but it might have something to do with why the knobs aren't working.

I lost my off road pages a few weeks ago along with one two other apps I never use but noticed weren't there and I stopped getting uconnect email updates at same time.

I simply reset the whole unit back to "factory defaults". It automatically re-downloaded (will show you on-screen, lower left) and automatically re-installed all apps. Yes, I lost all my presets, had to re-pair phone and had to re-arrange my preferred "taskbar" bottom icon locations but it worked. I now get uconnect noticfications and off road pages came back.

I did the reset while sitting in my driveway before I left for work, drove the 12 minutes commute, still showed apps downloading, turned Jeep off, it sat all day and the apps were up and running at the end of my shift so I assume it can do this while turned off. It was a mild inconvenience and cost me nothing.

You could try to do a soft Uconnect reset:
  • Put your vehicle in park and ensure that it is in “RUN” mode.
  • Press and hold both the volume and turner knob buttons simultaneously.
  • Hold down the knobs for roughly 10-20 seconds.
  • A screen should flash with your vehicle’s brand name, then go dark once more.
  • Next, the brand name will return and will return to the main Uconnect page.
