Chirping noise when braking

Hey all,​

I’ve had this chirping noise when breaking at slow speeds. I’ve had break squeal and the chirping sounds different.​

​

The dealer called me to see how the Jeep was doing and I mentioned this to them. They think it’s a stabilizer bushing gone bad.​

​

I do have the Mopar 2” lift if that makes a difference.​

​

Hard to tell in a video but my 2019 makes a bird chirping sound on the first moment of pressing the brake pedal. Most of the front end components have been replaced with Teraflex pieces and it also has the Mopar 2” lift since new.

Put in reverse try for 10-15 mph and apply brakes hard, do not skid.

Mine chirps when you apply the brakes and again when you finally come to a complete stop. First oil change is coming up soon, was gonna have them check it out then. I'll report back with what they tell me. My suspension is completely stock.

Same thing, the moment I touch the brake it makes the noise.

For now I’m calling it character, lol.
Was going to say maybe it’s a Calgary thing since we’re in the same part of the world but now others chimed in so not that.

Next time I take her in for service I’ll try to remember to mention it.

My 21 chirped constantly upon breaking, and my 23 has chirped a couple of times since I picked it up 6 days ago.

I’m pretty sure it’s the actuator for the shifter interlock that moves when you press the brake.
