When my ac is running and I press the brakes a few seconds after releasing the brake it makes a grinding/whining sound. It only happens when the AC is running. The noise varies from 2-5 seconds at a time and can be heard even with the radio on. I have also noticed that the ac will randomly not feel like it is pushing as cold air out randomly for a few seconds - kind of more humid feeling…if that makes sense.

Don't know about noises, but when the AC puts out humid air, it's because the compressor shut off.

For the noise, you might open the hood and listen with the AC running and off to tell if it's the compressor bearings or the clutch bearing. If it makes noise while the clutch is engaged, it's compressor bearings. If it makes noise when the compressor is disengaged, it's the clutch bearing.
